i made these for my sister-in-law's baby shower. they were SO easy to make! & SO delicious! & SO much better than rice krispy treats i had when i was little. :)
the ingredients:
3/4c unsalted peanut butter
3/4c maple syrup
1tsp sea salt
2 1/2tsp agar agar flakes
4c unsweetened (or slightly sweetened) crisp brown cereal
3/4c pistachios toasted & chopped
puttin' it together:
*line 2 muffin tins with about 18 muffin/cupcake wrappers, & set aside.
*combine the pb, syrup, salt & agar flakes in a large saucepan over low heat & stir constantly until smooth, hot, melted & bubbling just a bit.
*add the cereal & 1/2c of the pistachios & stir until well coated.
*spoon 2 heaping Tbs of the mixture into each muffin wrapper & press into place with the back of a spoon.
*sprinkle with the remaining pistachios & refrigerate until completely cool.
